Our highly experienced and professional search staff offers the provision of

field of search. Our search methods rely on the most up to date sources and databases and are facilitated by state-of-the-art platforms. All the relevant information related to your inquiry is pinpointed and delivered in an organized format (also available on CD).
We perform various types of searches to meet the needs of our customers, including:
|
Standard Search/Patentability
These types of searches aim to provide a general overview of the art for a particular
invention or idea, in order to assess its novelty. A patentability search focuses on the
specific embodiments of an invention that are thought to be patentable, with the
intention of determining if other publications disclose similar novel elements. In other
words, patentability searches are intended to determine if a specific invention has
been previously disclosed in one or more publications and it usually provides.
The information retrieved from Patentability searches may assist you in your decision
of whether to continue to invest in your idea.
|
Patent Family/Status Search
This type of search is performed to identify the worldwide equivalents of a patent application (i.e., the patent family) and to review their status.
|
State-of-the-Art Search
State-of-the-Art searches provide an overview of a specific area of technology. Preventing the expense of valuable resources to eventually “reinvent the wheel”, these searches find out what has already been disclosed in a specific area.
|
Validity Search
These types of searches are essential when there is a need to show the existence of
prior art not previously cited against a specific patent. The information retrieved from
such a search is typically required to oppose a patent. In other words, Validity
searches are intended to retrieve publications that were not yet found.
|
Infringement Search
Infringement searches are used to determine if any unexpired patents would hinder the manufacture, use, or sale of a specific product, process or service. This type of search is often conducted as due diligence before a product launch. For example, if you wish to use a specific technology in a particular country, you need to know what related patents are in force there.
|
Licensing Search
This type of search aims at identifying entities with patent portfolios complementary to the patent at hand, or with overlapping claims. This may involve researching across industries to discover new applications or uses for a given technology.
|
Watch Dog Search
This service provides periodic update reports about newly published applications in a specific area, answering questions like: are there new "players" in our field of technology of whom/which we are not yet aware? What patents belong to whom?
